Tuesday Morning Slow - Flow Yoga
Using a series of slow, connected movements to help you transition between poses.
Service Description
This all-level class is suitable for beginners as well as seasoned practitioners. Options and modifications will be offered, allowing you to move at your own pace as we link breath with movement. We will set a strong, solid foundation with the opportunity to move towards more playful yoga poses. Instruction and alignment guidelines are given throughout class as you are encouraged to respect and listen to your body, moving only in a way that honors that. Opening with a grounding and calming breath meditation, you will then be led through a variety of poses using your breath to flow with ease from one pose to the next. You will learn to stretch and strengthen the body while distressing the mind using mindful movement. The class will end with a deeply relaxing Savasana. Dana Smith Bio Dana first came to yoga 14 years ago for the physical benefits. After running for sev eral years, she wanted to add yoga to stretch and strengthen. Maintaining a regular yoga practice gave her a greater sense of self awareness. By strengthening the con nection between body, mind and spirit she noticed that she was able to move through her day more authentically and with intension. Dana decided to enroll in yoga teacher training in 2020 at Sacred River Yoga, as a way to deepen her own practice. Once she had the opportunity to teach in the com munity, she felt the joy of sharing the practice she loves with others. Dana’s teaching style is inclusive for all, with the goal of creating a safe space that allows each student to show up exactly as they are. As a teacher, Dana realizes that every person is on a different path and offers modification encouraging students to honor how they feel at all times.
